Los Campesinos! Make The Cut
Hold On Now, Youngster, the debut album from
Los Campesinos! was named #30 on Pitchfork's
Top 50 Albums of 2008. To celebrate, we have put the album
on sale over at iTunes.
This of course was the first of two releases the band had in 2008. We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed is also available now.
CBC's Bucky Awards Announce Winners
Congrats to both
Jason Collett and
Stars for their victories at the 2008 Bucky Awards. Jason won the prestigious
"Most Canadian Song" award for
"Charlyn, Angel of Kensington", and Stars added to their trophy case as well, taking the
"Best Lyrics" category with their
Sad Robots EP nugget
"14 Forever".

Associated Press names Kensington Heights #1 Rock Album of the Year
The Associated Press released their Top 10 Rock Albums of 2008 today and put Kensington Heights by Constantines at the top of the list. Others on the list include The Hold Steady, Fleet Foxes, and TV On The Radio. Go

Rolling Tundra Rolls Again
Constantines will reunite with their good friends
The Weakerthans for a Canadian tour like no other. The bands will cross all 10 provinces by plane, bus and boat, and will even throw in a Territory for good measure. The two groups previously toured together, in the first incarnation of the Rolling Tundra Revue 4 years ago.

Recording a Tape the Colour of the Light early in 2009.
