Feist Announces Food Drive And Charity Partners For National Tour
Nine-time JUNO award-winner and multi-Grammy nominated Feist, has introduced her distinct sounds, style and influence to the world with the release of her award-winning album The Reminder, the follow-up to 2004's acclaimed Let It Die. Feist has been embraced by the mainstream without compromise and on her own terms. It is with this spirit that the long awaited return to her homeland is celebrated by announcing the involvement of two major charity efforts: there will be a food drive with local affiliate members of the Canadian Association of Food Banks at every show along her Fall tour; and the Canadian charities CARE Canada, MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and War Child Canada will receive ALL of the proceeds from Feist merchandise sales.

"It's exciting to see an artist like (Leslie) Feist show her support to Canadian food banks by initiating this concert food drive." says Katharine Schmidt, executive director, Canadian Association of Food Banks "We know that food banks in each of the 13 communities will greatly benefit from the generosity of her audience."

Concert-goers are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the venue, where local food bank volunteers will be accepting donations. One lucky winner each night will win a very special piece of limited Feist memorabilia, custom made for the food drive winners.

The Reminder, released May 1, 2007 on Arts & Crafts, is certified Double Platinum in Canada and has gone on to sell over 1 million copies Worldwide. The 2008 Juno Awards in Calgary saw Calgary native Feist take an award in all five categories nominated, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year.
