Jason Collett goes Hollywood
"Hangover Days" and "We All Lose One Another", both from Idols Of Exile, have found their way into prominent new feature films.
"Hangover Days" plays over the opening credits of Management, the new film starring Jennifer Aniston and Woody Harrelson, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.  You can catch "We All Lose One Another" in The Palermo Shooting, the highly anticipated film from legendary German director Wim Wenders.  It features an eclectic cast that includes Dennis Hopper, Milla Jovovich and Lou Reed.

Stars announce new tour dates in Canada, Australia and Japan in support of their self released Sad Robots Ep
Stars have recently announced that new tour dates have been added to their current Sad Robots tour, bringing the band to Australia, Japan and will include additional dates throughout Quebec and Ontario. Full tour details can be found here.

Stars, who are nominated for 'Artist of the Year' at 2008 XM Radio Awards, (winner announced: September 24 )
Nominated for the 2008 Polaris Music Prize (winner announced: September 29)
Nominated for 2008 CASBY Award 'NXNE Favourite New Indie Release' (winner announced October 22 - vote here)

The band continue in the pioneering tradition they displayed with the early digital release of their critically acclaimed full-length, 'In Our Bedroom After The War' through self-releasing their latest work, Sad Robots via www.sadrobots.ca and their own Soft Revolution Records. The band, very much a part of the Arts & Crafts family, have released this EP which will also be available in physical form at the venues along the current tour.

In this ever changing environment for the release of recorded music we have all seen that there are very few constants. One consistent approach we at Arts&Crafts have taken is to accept that there is no one single consistent approach. A system and structure that works for one artist will not necessarily work for another. As such, we have all now taken steps for Stars to begin the long but fruitful road of self-release and we encourage you to support their efforts.

Very best,

Arts & Crafts Artist Management

The Stills announce Canadian and UK tour dates
Montreal quintet, The Stills, having just released their new album, Oceans Will Rise, on August 19 have announced a two-week run of Canadian dates as special guest of good friends, The Sam Roberts Band. The tour launches November 1 in Hamilton, Ontario and concludes with two nights at The Music Hall on Toronto’s Danforth Avenue. The video, in the top 15 and heavy rotation at Much Music, features a cameo by tour mate Sam Roberts.

The band recently performed to 300,000 fans in their native province, supporting Sir Paul McCartney at the historic celebration of the 400th Anniversary of Quebec City. The Stills announced they will kick off their U.S. touring with two nights in New York, September 18 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg and September 20 at the Bowery Ballroom, before spending October on the road with Kings of Leon.
