An amalgam of their indigenous heritages and their personal musical architectures, Daniel and Adam imbue the lyrics with their families' storytelling, revealing truths and finding common ground amidst their differences. The first single "Residential Military" responds to Canada's reckoning with its residential school system, introducing a concept that Adam describes asIndigenous Futurisms– "a song about finding the past to picture a future which is not always so easy here and now." The family onSewn Back Together includes Kevin Drew and Nyles Spencer on production, helping steer the collision of these two divergent artists into some glorious territory steeped in shoegaze, dream pop, anthemic rock, Chicago post-rock, 2nd wave emo, and much more.
